About the Nissan Juke

Cartoon guy pointing left

Who Are Nissan?

You've probably already heard of Nissan, as they're one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world.

They're a Japanese company that was founded back in the 1940s, growing greatly in stature since then. They're the tenth-largest car manufacturer in the world, showing just how popular Nissan are!

Nissan makes a huge variety of different car models, from hatchbacks to SUVS, all the way through to supercars such as the GT-R Coupe. As such, there's something for everyone within their expansive range of vehicles, whether you're looking for an affordable family car or a compact sports utility vehicle.

Nissan has become known for being one of the most forward-thinking car brands in the world due to their focus on electric vehicles, producing several hybrid versions as well. They've also pioneered self-driving cars,  with the company predicting that most of its models will be autonomous by 2030.

The Nissan Juke: A Flagship Vehicle

The Nissan Juke is one of the car company's most popular designs, first joining the market in 2010. This model is classed as a crossover SUV, similar in style to the Nissan Qashqai, although it's a little smaller in size.

A second generation of the Juke was rolled out in 2019 in Europe and Australasia, although it's been largely phased out across the rest of the world. Despite Nissan being a Japanese company, the Juke - being designed in London - has quite a British base.

The Nissan Juke is renowned for its unique exterior, attracting glances wherever you choose to venture due to how stylish it looks. The Juke also boasts ample boot space for storage, with room for all the family. That makes driving this model ideal for any situation, whether you're going for a family drive or travelling abroad.

Alongside its quick steering, Nissan have made safety a huge priority within their cars. The Juke was awarded a five star Euro NCAP safety rating in 2019. Whatcar also revealed that the vehicle rated above average in the JD Power ownership survey in terms of mechanical reliability.

One of the most popular aspects of the Nissan Juke is its modern, up-to-date accessories. The dashboard is a dance of lights and colours, with some models even going as far as to offer climate control.

Such a wealth of equipment found in one vehicle is impressive, projecting the Juke as one of the most technologically advanced crossovers on the market.

The Juke also comes in several different variations, with 1.5 and 1.6 litre engines offered in both petrol and diesel. The highest performing 1.6 litre petrol engines give 190 to 200 brake horsepower - couple that with up to 40 miles per gallon and you're looking at a real star of a car!

Looking towards the diesel model, which is 1.5 litres, you'll get up to 115 bhp and an efficient 67 mpg. For an SUV, the Juke offers good efficiency, helping you keep the cost of driving down.

At LeaseCar, we know you'll love the Nissan Juke - especially if you're after a ride that breaks free of the norms and boasts a dazzling array of technology. The Juke is a vehicle that can be personalised to your exact tastes, in turn fulfilling your every leasing desire.

What Features Does the Nissan Juke Have?

One of the main things you might be curious about when researching your leasing options is the features that come with a Nissan Juke.

Every model is naturally slightly different, but even the basic version features some fantastic attributes to make driving this beast a dream:

  • Modern accessories, with climate control offered in some models, such as the Juke Acenta

  • Alloy wheels

  • Electric windows and air conditioning

  • Stability control

  • Six airbags

  • A touchscreen colour SatNav

  • A reversing camera

  • DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and Aux connectivity

  • Lane departure warning with intelligent lane Intervention and traffic sign recognition

  • NissanConnect services available in some models

Of course, every variation of the Nissan Juke will be slightly different, allowing you to pick the model that suits your individual needs and personality the most.

What Are the Benefits of a Nissan Juke Lease?

The Nissan Juke is an amazing car with some fantastic features, as you can see in our handy guide above! This modern car model can be a huge advantage to any life, whether you're heading onto the motorway for a cross-country trip or making a journey down local country lanes to visit the family.

If you need a little more information to get you on the road to making an excellent leasing choice, this section is for you. It's designed to help you discover some of the many benefits of driving a Nissan Juke.

And if you think that a Juke isn't quite your style, why not check out our other Nissan models available for lease?

Increased Safety & Security

Nissan's cars are some of the safest on the market, with the Juke winning several awards for safety since its inception back in 2010.

In 2019, this 5-door hatchback won a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP - a huge accolade for any modern car manufacturer!

The awards don't stop there though! In 2011, the Juke received the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The IIHS is an independent nonprofit organisation that is dedicated to reducing deaths and crashes through scientific research, so they certainly know their stuff!

The Juke also tends to do well in crashability scores (as do Nissan's other car models), showing that this is the perfect car if you're worried about safety - particularly if you have little ones in the backseat!

Cheaper Running Costs

One of the main things to consider when leasing a new car is how much it will cost you to run the car. As well as the cost of the car itself, you also have to factor in fuel costs, car insurance, MOTs, services and maintenance, repair costs, VED (Vehicle Excise Duty), and breakdown cover.

The good thing about our lease deals is that VED tax will be included. You'll also get a warranty - this may differ depending on the model of car and type of lease you go for, but you'll usually get at least a 3-year warranty.

Warranties usually don't cover general wear and tear, but any manufacturing faults should be covered for the duration of your lease. If you're interested in adding insurance and maintenance cover to your lease, we also offer a Total Care package. This service is designed to make life a lot easier and simpler for you during the leasing process.

Save Money on Fuel

Fuel costs can easily add up, especially if you do a lot of commuting back and forth between home and your workplace. Petrol and diesel prices have been fluctuating wildly recently, so it's important to make sure you get the most bang for your buck when choosing to lease a car.

Nissan is a brand known for their fuel efficiency, having quite a high MPG (miles per gallon) on most of their car models. A higher MPG is preferable as you'll get more miles out of the fuel you buy.

There are several different Nissan Juke models, with each one having a slightly different MPG. As a whole though, they tend to test fairly highly, especially considering that they're classed as crossover SUVs. The hybrid models of the car tend to have a higher MPG, with up to 48.7 mpg for the manual versions. The automatic form comes in at around 47.1 mpg.

Whilst petrol versions of the Juke are available, the hybrid model is much more fuel efficient, with an Eco Drive mode created to help you save even more money on your fuel costs!

Our monthly prices for leasing a Juke are on the lower end of the scale for Nissan, with a cheaper initial down payment than if you were to buy the car outright - so there really is no reason not to lease a Nissan Juke!

How Does Leasing Compare to Finance or Buying Outright?

So now you've had a look at all the ways a Nissan Juke can benefit you, you're probably wondering why you should choose to lease a car instead of buying one outright or using finance.

Firstly, to make an informed decision, it's important to understand the difference between the three options.

Buying a car should be fairly straightforward and the process is largely the same, regardless of whether it's new or used. A deposit or down payment is usually put down on the car before the full amount is paid. Sometimes the dealer will allow you to pay off the cost of the car with several monthly payments, but there may be high interest rates for this, making buying a car outright quite expensive as a whole.

At first glance, financing a car might seem quite similar to leasing, with monthly payments being paid each month for the use of the car. However, with leasing, you don't actually pay anything towards the cost of the car - instead, you're contributing a fee for hiring the car. Leasing tends to be cheaper than financing, although this will depend on the model you go for and the lease you sign.

The other main difference between leasing and finance is that with the latter, you usually buy the car after the time period has ended. When you take on a leasing deal, the car is instead given back at the end of this period, allowing you to pick another new car to drive afterwards.

PCP (personal contract purchase) is another finance option that is sometimes compared to leasing. Once the PCP contract ends, you have two choices. You can either pay the rest of the car off in something known as a 'balloon' payment, or hand the car back without making any further payments.

Other Benefits Leasing Can Give You

As you can see, leasing a car can be extremely beneficial, especially when compared to financing or buying the same vehicle. However, there are several other ways leasing can give you an advantage, which should help to steer you in the right direction!

And if you're still not sure at the end of it all, our friendly and professional team are on hand to give you all the extra advice you might need!

Leave Breakdown and Tax Costs at the Door

One of the main benefits of deciding to lease a Nissan Juke is that, in the vast majority of cases, you'll get a warranty included. This means you don't need to worry about any mechanical failures occurring during the lease period - although it should be noted that things like wear and tear won't be covered.

You'll still need insurance and breakdown cover though - this can be taken out with a company like RAC or The AA - you could even go to Nissan themselves for their roadside recovery service.

Another way you can save money with a Nissan lease is by not paying VED (Vehicle Excise Duty), which is sometimes known as road tax. Legally, VED has to be paid each year by the registered keeper of the car. However, when you lease a car, the leasing company is considered to be the registered keeper, so most of the time they'll include the tax as part of your overall lease deal.

This will be the case with most situations, but it's still a good idea to double-check that VED is included with your lease before driving the car - just to be on the safe side of things!

No Need to Skimp on Getting a New Car

Buying a new car can be rather expensive, which may be particularly off-putting during an economic downturn. It can be hard to scrape together enough money to pay for the full cost of the car at once, which is where leasing comes in!

Leasing is a fantastic way to drive a new car without paying for it outright. When you lease a car from us, you get all the benefits of driving a new car without the cost.

Once your lease period has ended, you can exchange your car for another new model, ensuring you keep up to date with all the latest technology and features! This means there's also no need to worry about selling your car at the end of the lease period, taking that stress out of your life!
