One of the greatest plus points of a hybrid is the lack of noise as you zip around town. The Toyota Corolla Hatchback is calmingly quiet around the busy streets and ideally suited to urban driving. There's great visibility all-round, always useful for parking, and the reversing camera helps you make mincemeat of getting into even the tightest of spaces.
It's not to be sniffed at for motorway driving either. On faster roads, the petrol engine kicks in but the noise is by no means distracting enough to ruin your trip. Plenty of space means you've got room for your luggage too, just in case you decide to make that trip more of a weekend away.

Toyota usually does a pretty good job both inside and outside and the interior of the Corolla Hatchback doesn't disappoint in the slightest. It feels solid and high-end. Soft-touch fabrics and chunky, dense kit on the dashboard add to the feeling of quality and comfort.
Notably, the Toyota Corolla has lots of space in the front. You get loads of headroom and legroom so you're going to be able to get comfortable even if you're on the taller side and that goes for your front passenger too. That's always good for long journeys.
It's also pleasing to find loads of cubby holes for storage and a twin drinks holder in the centre console. In fact, the internal storage space is really well-thought-out, unlike that in some popular rivals.
In the back, space is more limited but it's certainly more than adequate for kids or smaller adults. All in all, this is a good choice for a small family car that looks good and keeps running costs down.
